My approach is personal and collaborative, rooted in creating harmony between the things you own and the way you want to feel.
I’m Amy Holmes - interior stylist, home editor, and founder of House of Alder. My passion for home design began as a little girl, sketching floor plans and decorating through the pages of catalogs. After years of helping family and friends create spaces they love, I realized this wasn’t just a passion - it was my purpose. Today, I blend that lifelong love of design with a modern, approachable style that honors both form and function. I specialize in transitional modern interiors: a thoughtful mix of old and new, tradition and trend - elevated but approachable, curated for real life.
The name House of Alder reflects the values I bring to every project: balance, beauty, connection, and intention. Like the alder tree - known for its strength, harmony, and natural elegance - I aim to bring those same qualities into your home. Not as a makeover, but as a mindful transformation.
